About This Position

The Community Services Program Coordinator, housed within Austin Equity and Inclusion’s Equity Division, will serve as a liaison between the Equity Division and community partners, including grassroots community organizations and cross-sector agencies. The position will be responsible for developing and managing cross-sector partnerships, securing external resources to support community initiatives, designing and implementing community-responsive programs, and evaluating program effectiveness and impact.

Under general direction, this position is responsible for service coordination, including training, resources, and outreach related to community programs.

About the Department:

This role is housed within Austin Equity and Inclusion - Equity Division. The Equity Division provides leadership, guidance, and insight on equity to improve the quality of life for all Austinites. Austin Equity and Inclusion (AEI) has 3 divisions within its office: Human Rights Division, Equity Division and Civil Rights division. The mission of Austin Equity and Inclusion is to transform systems to increase access, remove barriers to opportunity, address discrimination, and foster a community where all identities are respected. AEI ensures full compliance with applicable state and federal mandates, including local city ordinances, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. AEI also oversees racial equity work, immigrant affairs, veterans, fair housing, equal employment, fair chance hiring, ADA-title II, Title VI, public accommodation, CROWN Act and tenants’ right to organize.

Salary: $60,030 to $74,140 annually

Location: 1050 East 11th Street, Suite 200, Austin, TX 78702

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
